I wonder if the @washingtonpost regrets publishing this bit of anti-science invective in Dec. 2020. Thinking like this pushed harmful school closures and other destructive policies into 2021 and beyond. Neither then nor now did we have the technology to get to zero covid.

Only Chinese "car plant investment" in Mexico is JAC's joint venture w/CarlosSlim which put out 22,519 units in 2023. It's limited to the Mexican market. GM plants in Mexico produced 722,631 units in 2023. Mostly for export to the US. Is the hysteria on the US side justified?
